What are signs that my pet has dental problems?

Are dental cleanings painful for pets?

Not at all. During professional cleanings, your pet will be under anesthesia. This will ensure they feel no discomfort or anxiety from having medical tools inserted in their mouth. This will also help our team to properly clean underneath the gum line and perform any emergency extractions if needed.

How often should I brush my pet’s teeth?

Ideally, your pet’s teeth should be brushed daily. We understand this may seem like a challenge and even an impossibility but during a consultation at the hospital, we can show you proper techniques and tools to get you started. Over time, you will have your own routine mastered. NOTE: Please do not use human brushes or toothpaste on your pet as they can be toxic for them! Stick with products made specifically for your furry family member.
